The Story of My First Mate

We are skippers with over 30 years of experience, logging thousands of miles across the globe, leading flotillas and teaching students. But despite our time on the water, one feeling always followed us: a quiet, constant pressure. While everyone else is relaxing, the skipper is always “on”, calculating the wind, worrying about the anchor, and carrying the weight of the crew’s safety.

This is the “skipper’s dissonance”, the gap between the freedom we seek and the stress we actually feel.

As tech entrepreneurs and sailors, we decided to bridge that gap. We spent two years researching the psychology behind this stress to build what we wished we had: a mate for the journey. To do this, we created a complete platform that integrates authentic knowledge, AI, and algorithms.
