This Cookie Policy explains how MY FIRST MATE SINGLE MEMBER S.A. ("My First Mate", "we" or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites and apps (the "Platform"). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle the personal data these technologies collect, and our Terms of Service govern your use of the Platform. Where our group companies (our shareholders, any parent company of ours, and companies that control, are controlled by or are under common control with us) help us run the Platform, this policy covers their use of these technologies too.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, keep information on your device in the same way. Some are set by us ("first-party"); others are set by services we use, such as Google ("third-party").
2. Your choices
When you first visit, we ask which optional cookies you accept. Cookies that are strictly necessary are always on. Analytics, functionality and marketing cookies are used only if you accept them.
You can change your choices at any time from "Cookie settings" at the bottom of our pages or in the menu, and you can delete cookies through your browser's settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Platform, such as signing in, will not work.

We also use your browser's local storage for features you use: to keep itineraries and plans you make before you sign in (for some of them this is the only copy), to remember display preferences such as collapsed weather panels, to know which version of the Platform last cleaned your stored data, and to hold the random identifier that applies fair-use limits to AI features if you are not signed in.
3.2 Analytics (only with your consent)

3.4 Marketing (only with your consent)
These cookies would let us measure advertising campaigns and show relevant ads on other sites. We do not run such campaigns today; if we start, the cookies will be set only if you accepted marketing cookies, and we will list them here.
4. Content from other services
Some pages show content from other services, such as Google Maps, the Windy weather viewer and YouTube videos. These services may set their own cookies when their content loads or when you use it, under their own cookie and privacy policies: Google's covers Google Maps and YouTube, and Windy has its own.
5. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
